About the Founders
Jon and Brenda MacQuarrie co-founded CiC in early 2005 with the assistance of experienced independent investigators Wendy Bacigalupi and Susey Dalton. This close-knit circle of friends formed the very foundation on which CiC is built and still operates on today. This is also how the group became known as "Circle Investigations".
Jon's extensive electronics and computer background makes him well-suited for the role of tech manager. He keeps up to date with all the new available technologies and investigative methods. His expertise with Photoshop and other image manipulation techniques, as well as his audiophile and recording knowledge nature affords CiC the ability to spot a hoax from a mile away.
Brenda's education and experience makes her perfectly suited for research and case management. Her attention to detail provides our clients a better-informed investigation team and a more thorough investigation. While not a psychic, or a "medium", Brenda possesses a certain "sensitivity" to the supernatural which helps our team "zero in" on any potential activity.
Training
There is a certain degree of "training" that is required for any paranormal investigator. Unlike police or military training, we don't set up "fake investigations" and have cardboard "ghosts" pop out from behind doors; instead, training is focusing on base psychological reactions and how to effectively use equipment, as well as debunking techniques.
